Welcome to us We are seeking a substitute preschool teacher at Preschool Timmermansgården, a municipal preschool located next to Bergsgruvan and Södra station on Södermalm. It's also close to Tantolunden and Medborgarplatsen. At Timmermansgården, we work according to the preschool curriculum and believe that play and learning interact in the child's development and wellbeing. Timmermansgården, together with Preschool Kastanjen, which is part of the same unit, is LGBTQ-certified, meaning all work at the preschool is permeated by norm-creative perspectives to ensure that all children and their families feel included and involved. What we offer Wellness benefit that is currently 3,000/year or 250 kr/month. Work shoes for longer-term substitutes. Work clothes including overalls, winter clothes and rain gear. Your role We are looking for a preschool teacher for a substitute position until summer 2027 who will work with the preschool's oldest children who start school in autumn 2027. The group often goes out around the city on longer and shorter excursions, so you should be able to walk longer distances with the children and colleagues. As a preschool teacher, you are attentive, engaged and work actively and consciously, building relationships with children, colleagues and guardians. You have great drive and the ability to create strong attachment with both children and adults around you. You enjoy communicating, listening and bringing parts together into a whole. You understand and act when you need to lead your team forward, work alongside or support when good work is underway, just as expected when you work together with the children. You also take responsibility for and lead planning, implementation, follow-up and analysis of education and teaching where project-based processes are involved. Systematic pedagogical documentation, both analog and digital, you handle without difficulty, where development, learning and children's changing knowledge become visible. The assignment includes having very good foresight to plan work tasks in good time so that all parts are implemented and followed up. We are looking for a preschool teacher who has good knowledge of the preschool's goals and can implement these goals in education and teaching together with the children. You are a pedagogue who is engaged, professional and understands each child's and children's group's zone of proximal development in order to build on knowledge and experiences at the right time. In your role as a preschool teacher, you work consciously and actively for a democratic approach at the preschool where each child experiences inclusion, equal opportunities for expanded perspectives where norm awareness and approaches are the daily cornerstones. You also have competence and experience in planning and implementing development and changes to the preschool's pedagogical environments both indoors and outdoors. You take responsibility for and lead planning, implementation, follow-up and analysis together with your team to systematically document the teaching being conducted. You ensure each child's development and learning by using pedagogical documentation you are accustomed to working with reflection tools and you are responsible for planning and conducting parent meetings. You have the courage to change when needed and the courage to hold firm when needed. Your competence and experience We are looking for you who have preschool teacher certification and several years of experience working in preschool. As a person, you are calm, communicative, empathetic and handle all situations, meetings and relationships professionally. You have good knowledge of Swedish, have very good experience working digitally and with pedagogical documentation. You have a good ability to focus on the right things and prioritize based on the conditions that exist both in the short and long term. You enjoy leading both children and colleagues and like to share your knowledge and qualities.
