The Social Services Department is responsible for providing support, care and assistance to people in different stages of life. We work based on the individual's needs and offer services based on several laws, including the Social Services Act (SoL), the Act on Support and Services for Persons with Certain Disabilities (LSS) and the Health and Medical Care Act.
This can mean providing elderly people with a safe and meaningful everyday life, supporting people with disabilities or being there for children, young people and adults in vulnerable life situations.

WORK TASKS
Do you want to be part of making a difference in people's lives?
As a social secretary in the family foster care unit, you get a central role in supporting children and families in vulnerable situations. You work close to people who need help, while contributing to a lawful and sustainable social service.
As a social secretary, you work with the exercise of authority and ensuring that people get the right support based on their needs. You meet people in different life situations and work to strengthen their conditions and quality of life.
The role includes, among other things:
- Following up on decided interventions for placed children and ensuring that they meet the individual's needs,
- Investigating and assessing needs according to SoL and LVU, and making decisions about interventions,
- Documenting cases according to applicable legislation and regulations,
- Collaborating with other actors such as schools, healthcare and police for comprehensive support,
- Providing advice, support and guidance
- Working preventively and identifying needs for early interventions,
- Contributing to development and quality assurance within the unit.
QUALIFICATIONS
You who apply have good knowledge of relevant legislation, such as SoL and LVU. The work requires that you are structured, empathetic and have the ability to make decisions in complex situations.
We also see that you have:
- Social Work degree
- Experience with the exercise of authority within the social services
- Good Swedish in speech and writing
