Our Offer The Acute Internal Medicine Clinic (AIM) has been reorganized and is on a development journey forward. We want to grow, expand our scope, and become the best at what we do, which is why we need to expand our staff and strengthen the clinic with more skilled nursing assistants. After the reorganization, AIM consists of: - Ward B172 Acute Internal Medicine - MIMA (Medical Intermediate Care Unit) - The Coagulation Clinic At AIM, we care for seriously ill and complex patients with medical care needs. We treat a broad range of patients, especially those with respiratory and circulatory conditions, which provides broad and practical knowledge in your professional role. Common patient groups on Ward B172 include cardiac patients (atrial fibrillation, syncope, chest pain), lung patients (COPD), infection patients (sepsis, pneumonia, influenza), and thromboembolic patients (DVT, pulmonary embolism). MIMA is our intermediate care unit where we treat patients requiring a higher level of care than on Ward B172, which places higher demands on care staff and their competence. Common conditions at MIMA include intoxications, severe sepsis/septic shock, ketoacidosis, respiratory failure, circulatory failure, and more. Patients with thromboembolic diseases are linked to the Coagulation Clinic. They may have been hospitalized on Ward B172 and subsequently need continued follow-up care. Outpatient patients can also be linked to the Coagulation Clinic, typically for blood tests, medication monitoring, injections, or planning before surgery or childbirth. Job Description Your tasks as a nursing assistant include basic patient care, with individualized orientation lasting four weeks. At AIM, we work two out of five weekends, and you'll have the opportunity to influence your own schedule by submitting an individual preference schedule in the scheduling tool Tessa. There are future opportunities for further development in blood sampling, catheter insertion, wound care, and rotation to MIMA, which is our higher level of care. We always develop an individual plan for when MIMA training can become relevant. In addition to this career development, there are also opportunities for paid specialist training based on operational needs and employee wishes. About You We're looking for someone who is a trained nursing assistant and has an interest in medical care, acute healthcare, and care of elderly patients. If you also have experience in these areas, that's a merit! Specialist training in a relevant area is also a merit. As a nursing assistant with us, you work in close dialogue with patients, relatives, and colleagues. Therefore, good knowledge of the Swedish language, both spoken and written, is a requirement to succeed in this role. You have good collaboration skills, are attentive and communicative, and treat both patients and colleagues with care and respect. You have a clinical eye where you notice changes in a patient's status and can assess when you need to quickly involve a nurse or physician.
