The Preschool Department is responsible for 54 municipal preschools organized into five areas led by principals. The department includes, in addition to preschools, a staff with investigators, procurement handlers, administrators, an assistant department head, and a department head. There is also a support and development team that leads and supports the preschool areas' work through training, supervision, and support in systematic quality work. Your Role As an assistant principal, you lead and develop operations at a number of preschools divided into two preschool areas. One preschool area has preschools located in Stureby and Enskede Gård. The other preschool area has preschools located in Årsta and Östberga. On behalf of the principal, you are responsible for ensuring that operations are conducted and developed in accordance with the Education Act, curriculum, and applicable delegation regulations. You have budget, operations, and personnel responsibility for the preschools in your unit. You report to the principal and are part of the preschool area's management group consisting of the principal, other assistant principals, and an administrative head. Your assignment includes: operationally lead and manage your preschools to develop and ensure quality, efficiency, and goal achievement, assume responsibility for budget management at your preschools, participate in operations planning and follow-up for the preschool area, create participation in the preschools' work with goals, results, and follow-up so that the preschools, the preschool area, and the department achieve the common goals with high quality, drive, organize, and create conditions for development work within the preschool area, represent the preschool area in internal and external collaboration and create conditions for staff to contribute to collaboration. Your Competence and Experience We are looking for you who have: a pedagogical university degree, experience working as an assistant principal or principal in preschool with responsibility for staff and operations, very good knowledge of and familiarity with relevant legislation, such as the Municipal Act, Education Act, and preschool governance documents, very good ability to express yourself in Swedish orally and in writing. It is a merit if you have: started or completed a principal program, experience with budget work such as forecasting, follow-up, and analysis, preferably in Hypergene, experience from municipal operations. You are also aware of the importance of good collaboration and relate to others in a responsive and flexible manner. You are clear in your communication and adapt to the recipient and situation.
