Hospitals in väster is an administrative unit within Västra Götalandsregionen and consists of four hospitals – Alingsås lasarett, Angereds närsjukhus, Högsbo närsjukhus, and Kungälvs sjukhus. Approximately 3000 employees work with us every day to provide excellent and safe specialized healthcare of the highest quality. Department 7 is one of three medical departments with 28 beds each – specialized in heart and lung care. Three years ago, we moved into one of Sweden's most modern care unit buildings. Work has evolved as each patient is now cared for in their own room, and the department is equipped with the latest technology in the field. Since 2022, department 7 has been providing advanced HIA care. On these seven beds, we care for seriously ill heart patients who were previously treated in ICU. Work on the department has become more specialized and varied. Now we are seeking a colleague who wants to join us and further develop heart care. Tasks and work methods Department 7 is a care unit with 28 beds, of which 7 are HIA beds, and the work is led by two care unit managers in shared leadership. Work on the department is knowledge-intensive, developmental, and exciting, and we provide advanced medical care. We work in teams and with person-centered care alongside nursing assistants, registered nurses, paramedical staff, and physicians for the best conditions to utilize each other's expertise. We are seeking registered nurses for day and evening shifts. About you We are looking for someone who enjoys collaborating with others and wants to be part of our wonderful team where we move the operation forward together, engage in improvement work, and create and develop our department and work methods with patients at the center. Qualifications You must be a licensed registered nurse, and it is advantageous if you have previous experience from medical care or cardiology/HIA. For us, it is important that you are driven by being part of developing care with the patient at the center, as well as actively sharing your knowledge with colleagues and enthusiastically learning from your colleagues' expertise. The length of orientation and shadowing will be assessed based on your individual competence to give you the best possible start. Clinical foundation year If you are a newly graduated registered nurse/radiographer, a Clinical foundation year is included during your first year of permanent employment. The Clinical foundation year includes lectures, process-oriented care mentoring, and practical training of your profession at Simulatorcentrum. It also includes shadowing in other operations to give you a broader understanding of the hospital where you work.
