Within the Häggviks Preschools unit, we operate Ebba's Preschool and Brage Language Preschool in Rotebro, as well as Smultronstället Preschool and Skälby Preschool in Häggvik. Our hourly substitutes are a vital part of our operations. We are now seeking you to be available on short notice and provide the children with a safe, fun, and educational day when our regular staff is absent.
As a substitute with us, you step directly into the vibrant daily life of the preschool. You are a reliable and active adult who supports the work team during absences and ensures that the children's day is safe and educational. As a substitute with us, you are expected to:
Active in play: You are where the children are at their level, talking, curious, and exploring the world together with them.
Language role model: You put words to what children do, encourage dialogue, and strengthen children's language development.
Practical support: You help with all preschool activities – from dressing and undressing to meals and rest time.
Relationship builder: You treat children, colleagues, and guardians with respect, warmth, and understanding of each child's individual needs.
Guide: You support and guide children through conflicts and other everyday dilemmas.
We are seeking someone with a positive view of children and who sees the competent child. For us, children's participation and influence over their day is important. To thrive and succeed in this role, you should be:
Self-motivated and proactive: You are not afraid to ask what needs to be done and quickly jump in where needed.
Flexible and adaptable: You enjoy change and approach new groups and environments with a positive attitude.
Present and attentive: You are a good role model who contributes to job satisfaction and a sense of security.
The need often arises on short notice. Therefore, you must be available to be booked by phone from approximately 07:15 in the morning. Work shifts can be scheduled between 07:00 and 17:00 depending on the operations' needs.
You must have documented experience working in preschool or school; pedagogical education is a merit.
Training as a childcare worker or equivalent pedagogical education is a merit.
