Region Värmland, Grums, Sweden
Would you like to combine meaningful work with proximity to nature, community, and a sustainable lifestyle? Then Grums Health Center might be the right workplace for you. Here you'll work at a stable and well-organized health center of appropriate size, about 20 minutes from Karlstad. Grums offers the best of both worlds – the closeness and security of a small town combined with proximity to the city's offerings. Here you have forests, lakes, and the magnificent nature of Lake Vänern right at your doorstep, with excellent opportunities for outdoor activities, hiking, paddling, and recreation year-round. Welcome to us! Your Workplace Grums Health Center is a well-functioning and stable health center with approximately 6,600 registered patients. We are part of Region Värmland and included in the Southern Karlstad operational area together with health centers Gripen, Grums, Skoghall, Tullholmen, Västerstrand, our digital unit Värmland Health Center, and the Karlstad on-call center. This gives us a large network and excellent opportunities for collaboration, knowledge exchange, and development. We have around 20 dedicated employees from multiple professions, including specialist physicians, resident physicians, district nurses, nurses, nursing assistants, healthcare administrators, a psychologist, foot care therapists, and a unit manager. We value close collaboration where different competencies complement each other and together create the best care for our patients. We offer broad primary care services with great opportunities for variety in your work. In addition to doctor's consultations, we have counseling services, nurse and nursing assistant consultations, as well as foot care services. We also conduct specialist consultations in diabetes, asthma/COPD, heart failure, and dementia. We work closely with municipal services and provide physician resources to maternal and child health centers, home healthcare, short-term care, LSS facilities, and elderly care homes. In recent years, we have systematically developed our work methods, routines, and medical quality. The result is a well-organized operation with well-functioning workflows, good accessibility, and controlled waiting lists. We have a structure that creates security and predictability in daily work, while also leaving room to influence and contribute to continued development. We actively work with continuity and long-term patient relationships. Patients are assigned based on birth date, which gives you a clear overview of your patient group and good conditions to follow patients over time. This creates high-quality care, increased job satisfaction, and a more sustainable work environment. Your Responsibilities You'll become part of an engaged and stable physician team where work environment and sustainability are in focus. With us, you have good opportunities to influence your schedule and your hours, provided you take responsibility for your registered patients. In our daily team rounds, you actively participate in medical prioritization and decide together with colleagues which of your patients need a physician assessment. This work method contributes to efficient resource use and high medical quality. We also offer the opportunity for digital consultations and some remote work, based on the needs of the operation and your preferences. We have an open work culture where it's natural to discuss medical questions and support each other, both within the physician group and together with other professional categories. If you're interested in elderly care, there's an opportunity to work as an elderly care physician, where you work exclusively with older patients and are responsible for municipally affiliated patients in residential facilities, LSS, short-term care, and home healthcare. This role involves close collaboration with the municipality and a joint focus on creating safe, cohesive, and high-quality care for the most vulnerable patients. There is an established and highly appreciated work method that we'd be happy to present in more detail if you're interested. Today the physician team consists of four district physicians and one resident physician. Now we're strengthening the team further and seeking someone like you who wants to help continue developing the operation with us. Your Knowledge and Competencies We're seeking someone who is a specialist in general medicine and who values close patient contact and high medical quality. You have an interest in development and improvement work and are happy to contribute to the operation's continued development. Since the position includes travel, you need to have a class B driver's license. As a person, you are confident, responsible, and organized. You have a good ability to plan your work independently while appreciating teamwork and collegial dialogue. You put the patient at the center and work toward safe, accessible, and equitable care.
