Our Workplace Within Disability Care Services, we work based on LSS legislation, the purpose of which is for persons covered by the law to achieve equality in living conditions and full participation in community life. The goal is for the individual to have the opportunity to live as others do. The activities in the social administration of Vaggeryd municipality encompass both authority exercises and provision within the areas of home care, special housing, LSS services, and social psychiatry. We offer and work with various forms of care and support so that all residents can live as influential, independent, and good lives as possible. Our goal is to, through assistance, advice, and other interventions, work toward positive changes in people's lives and contribute to the individual's independence. Our services are based on respect for the individual's self-determination and integrity. At Skogsvägen, we implement decisions concerning short-term visits and supervision (leisure). Visits for our children and young people can range from a single day to several days per month, with or without overnight stays and weekends. The service provides our children and young people with the opportunity for environmental change, recreation, and can also be part of their development toward a more independent life. For parents, the service provides space for relief and recovery. Supervision is a form of leisure that is granted when school's leisure care ends at age 12, but when the need remains. Skogsvägen is a small unit where you will be the 6th person in the work team. Four people work days, evenings, and weekends, and we are now expanding to two who work awake nights. There is close collaboration around our children and young people so they feel safe and comfortable with us at Skogsvägen. There is also a small number of children and young people; they are often part of our service for many years, so if you want to be a trusted adult and are passionate about supporting them in their development into their teens and into adulthood, then we are looking for you! Job Responsibilities In your work, you support and motivate our children and young people based on their needs. For example, supporting them to manage their daily life such as personal care and daily planning, managing social interaction and communication with others. Together with your colleagues and the children/young people, you plan the visit/leisure based on us providing a meaningful, safe, and developmental existence during short-term care. Since new children/young people are continuously approved for the service, structured methods are used during orientation, but this also means that the service needs to have a certain flexibility. Methods used include MI, AAC, and low-affect approaches, as well as structured working methods such as handling, evaluating, and changing. Collaboration with other professionals is a large part of the work. You collaborate with, among others, schools, the municipality's open youth activities, and the social services' open care. Administrative tasks are part of daily work, including social documentation in Combine and the creation of implementation plans. Practical tasks such as cleaning and laundry also occur. Qualifications We are looking for a support assistant. As a support assistant, you have secondary education from the Care Program or the Child and Leisure Program where Special Education 1 and 2 are included. Other education that the employer finds relevant may be applicable. Examples of this can be post-secondary education such as social or treatment pedagogue/assistant. We would like to see that you have experience working with people with neuropsychiatric diagnoses and intellectual disabilities. Experience with documentation is a requirement. As a person, you are positive, responsible, proactive, and have good patience. You work motivatingly and focus on the children's/young people's participation. You are structured in your working methods, but can be flexible when needed. Of course, you have a strong interest in working with children and young people who have some extra needs beyond the usual. Great emphasis is placed on personal suitability. An extract from the police's criminal record register is required. B driver's license is a requirement. Other Information This recruitment process includes interviews and reference checks.
