Description Are you a chef who is passionate about your craft and wants to make a real difference for our guests? At Mimers, you'll use your professional skills for something meaningful—creating delicious, nutritious meals for young people and seniors in their daily lives. We're looking for someone with a passion for cooking who wants to ensure every meal becomes a positive experience. Today we prepare approximately 350 portions daily for the municipality's care and residential facilities. We collaborate with kitchens in adjacent spaces where meals are prepared for high school students, approximately 1,500 portions. We also have Mimers Bakery where our desserts are made for our care and residential facilities. In fall 2026 and spring 2027, we're launching our new concept "Meal as Activity," where meals become an important part of well-being, community, and quality of life. Here you'll be part of a dedicated team where we help each other, share knowledge, and develop our work together. You'll work within a larger context with a clear purpose—creating meals that people look forward to. This is a full-time position with 38.25 hours per week. The work is scheduled and includes working every other weekend. Your regular working hours are between 6:30 a.m. and 3:00 p.m., but some flexibility is required as working hours can be adjusted based on operational needs. Duties Planning and preparing meals, including special diets and texture-modified meals. Handling deliveries to receiving kitchens. Meeting and serving our guests in the school restaurant as needed. Pre- and post-kitchen work. Training staff as needed. Qualifications We're looking for someone who is a trained chef with documented strong cooking skills and a strong professional pride. You have at least five years of experience working as a chef, preferably in both large-scale production and restaurant operations. Requirements: Trained chef. Documented strong cooking skills with at least five years of experience as a chef. Good computer skills and ability to handle digital systems, orders, and administration. Good knowledge of Swedish language, both spoken and written. Ability to work in a structured, careful, and high-quality manner even at a fast pace. Ability to work with meals for elderly care, including texture-modified meals and desserts. Prepare Swedish home cooking, daily specials, and vegetarian meals. Ability to work according to self-control programs and applicable food regulations. Meritorious: Good knowledge of preparing special diets. Experience with nutritional software. Logistics related to meal deliveries. Ability to order in Proceedo. Great weight will be placed on personal qualities. Selection and interviews will take place on an ongoing basis.
