We Are Looking for a Childcare Provider for a Full-Time Temporary Position

Are you interested in outdoor activities and enjoy spending time in nature? Are you passionate about children's development? We are looking for you to join our forward-thinking and positive team and help continue developing Fjällbjörken into an outstanding preschool. Now is your chance to take on a full-time temporary position during the fall, starting in August 2026 through December 31st. There is also the possibility to extend the position until June 2027. Perfect if you want to try working in our program. Fjällbjörken Preschool is a parent cooperative with a pedagogical approach focused on outdoor education and creative activities, where we encourage children to explore on their own. The facilities are designed to meet our program's needs and are inspired by Reggio Emilia. We have space for 20 children between ages 1-5. Our outdoor area features a beautiful birch forest where we prefer to spend our days. We work toward sustainable development and want children to develop a connection with nature and its cycles. Our fundamental principle is respect for children's thoughts, feelings, needs, and interests. Our environmental perspective runs through all of our educational activities. Serving children quality organic food prepared in our own kitchen by skilled and dedicated staff is important to us. We are looking for you: You are a childcare provider or preschool teacher with preschool teacher training or previous experience working with children. We particularly welcome someone with an interest in outdoor activities and who enjoys being in nature. Our program is committed to continuous professional development for all staff members working alongside their colleagues.
