We are now recruiting an Information Security and Data Protection Coordinator (CISO) who wants to take a key role in protecting critical information, meeting future security challenges and contributing to safe digital development for our residents. As an Information Security and Data Protection Coordinator (CISO), you will have a central role in developing and strengthening the municipality's work in information security and data protection. You become an important advisor to managers and leadership while driving the work forward throughout the organization. Decision-making paths are short and you have good opportunities to influence how the area develops going forward. You will be part of the security office at the administration and security unit together with the municipality's preparedness and security coordinator. The role is characterized by close collaboration with operations, management, external stakeholders and the municipality's IT security specialist to create a cohesive and organization-wide security effort. Your Role As an Information Security and Data Protection Coordinator, you are responsible for coordinating, developing and monitoring the municipality's work in information security and data protection. You drive issues that strengthen the municipality's ability to manage risks, comply with legal requirements and protect information in an increasingly digitalized organization. Your responsibilities include: Leading and developing the municipality's information security and data protection efforts. Developing and further developing policies, guidelines and other governing documents. Conducting risk analyses, information classification and impact assessments (DPIA). Monitoring compliance with legal requirements, regulations and internal governing documents. Providing support and advice to managers and operations on issues related to information security and data protection. Planning and implementing training and information initiatives. Contributing to the municipality's work related to the Cybersecurity Act (NIS2). Participating in and supporting development and digitalization projects from an information security and data protection perspective. Monitoring developments in legislation and national requirements and translating these into practical approaches in the organization. Location: Söderköping Who Are You? We are looking for someone with experience in information security and data protection who enjoys a role where you can combine specialist knowledge with development and change management work. You have a good understanding of how legal requirements, security requirements and business needs interact and can translate complex issues into clear and practical solutions. You are strategic, structured and work independently with a strong drive to develop and improve operations. At the same time, you have an easy way of creating good collaborations and engaging others. You are communicative and pedagogical with the ability to adapt your message to different audiences, from operational representatives to managers and leadership. Furthermore, you have high integrity, good judgment and a professional approach to issues concerning security, data protection and operational development. We are looking for you who have Relevant academic education in, for example, law, information security or another field that the employer deems equivalent. Experience working with information security and data protection. Good knowledge of NIS2/the Cybersecurity Act as well as GDPR and associated data protection legislation. Experience working with risk analyses, information classification or development of governing documents. Very good ability to express yourself in Swedish, both verbally and in writing. Class B driver's license. It is meritorious if you have experience from public operations and knowledge of public access and confidentiality legislation.
