AniCura Kalmarsund Animal Hospital is now seeking a Veterinary Chief who wants to help shape the future of animal healthcare and help create an entirely new animal hospital with move-in planned for spring 2027. We're looking for someone with clinical experience and a genuine interest in leadership and development. Perhaps you're a manager today – or ready to take your first step into leadership. We'd love for you to be a licensed veterinarian, but other backgrounds within animal healthcare may also be relevant for the right person. The role is divided between approximately 60% leadership and operational development and approximately 40% clinical work. We're looking for you who want more than just "managing." AniCura Kalmarsund AniCura Kalmarsund Animal Hospital forms AniCura Kalmarsund together with Läckeby Animal Clinic, Borgholm Animal Clinic, Högsby Animal Clinic, and Blekinge Animal Clinic. Together we create a strong region with broad expertise and great opportunities for development and collaboration. At AniCura Kalmarsund Animal Hospital, approximately 90 dedicated colleagues work, of which about 22 are veterinarians, in areas including: orthopedics, neurology, surgery, dermatology, ophthalmology, cardiology, dentistry, diagnostic imaging, and reproduction. We offer advanced diagnostics with both CT and MR, have a 24-hour inpatient care unit and emergency reception open daily between 08–22. Your role As Veterinary Chief, you'll become a key person in the operation, manager of the veterinarians at the animal hospital, and sit in the management group for all of AniCura Kalmarsund. The role is both strategic and operational – you work closely with the operation, the team, and the decisions. You will, among other things: lead, coach, and develop the veterinary team create engagement, participation, and a strong team spirit drive quality and improvement work work with operational planning and resource allocation combine leadership with approximately 40% clinical work be part of the journey toward our new animal hospital Who are you? We prefer someone who is a licensed veterinarian with good clinical experience and a genuine interest in people, development, and leadership. If you have a different background within animal healthcare, but with solid experience and strong commitment to leadership and operational development, that could also be perfect for the role. Perhaps you already have experience leading teams and operations – or you're currently the natural source of security in your group and feel it's time to take the next step in your career.
