Latvia University of Life Sciences and Technologies Veterinary Clinic is offering a full-time position for a veterinary assistant, working hours 9:00-17:00, in the Small Animal Clinic Surgery Unit for an indefinite period. Responsibilities: Animal restraint; Animal care and monitoring during anesthesia recovery; Performing various medical procedures; Monitoring animal vital signs under veterinarian supervision; Preparing animals for surgical procedures; Monitoring and assisting animals during anesthesia; Assisting during surgical procedures; Housekeeping duties. Requirements: General secondary education; Preferred: secondary specialized education in veterinary medicine; Preferred: previous experience working with small animals; Preferred: previous experience in the medical field, with priority given to specialists in surgery; High sense of responsibility; Empathy towards animals; Mandatory knowledge of the state language; Veterinary assistant education will be considered an advantage.
