The Veterinary Clinic of Latvia University of Life Sciences and Technologies offers full-time employment, Monday through Friday 9:00-17:00, for a Veterinary Assistant in the Small Animal Clinic on an indefinite basis Responsibilities: Animal restraint, care, feeding, and exercise; Monitoring physiological parameters in hospitalized and outpatient animals; Preparing animals for various treatment procedures; Performing treatment procedures on animals; Housekeeping duties (monitoring facilities and work areas, maintaining order, restocking medication and supply cabinets); Communication with international students from the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine Requirements: General secondary education; Preferred: secondary specialized education in veterinary medicine; Preferred: previous experience working with small animals; High sense of responsibility; Mandatory: state language proficiency; Preferred: basic English language knowledge; Veterinary assistant training will be considered an advantage; Empathy toward animals; Good communication skills and ability to work as part of a team.
