Open Position – Workshop Manager Växjö Would you like to combine technical expertise, safety, and team leadership in a modern electric bus workshop? We are now looking for a dedicated and organized Workshop Manager for our depot in Växjö! Company Description With over 3,700 employees and a fleet of more than 2,700 vehicles spread across 80 depots, we are proud to be one of the leading public transport operators in Norway and Sweden. Our team in Växjö works together to ensure the highest quality, reliability, and safety in everything we do, with electric vehicles being a central part of our future. Job Description As Workshop Manager in Växjö, you are the central hub in daily operations. This role is not just about being a skilled mechanic, but above all about planning, prioritizing, and leading the daily work in the workshop while ensuring high vehicle availability and a safe work environment. You thrive in close contact with daily operations and enjoy combining technical expertise with operational leadership. You create structure and clear priorities while involving technicians in problem-solving and improvement work. Work Environment You will be part of the workshop team at our depot in Växjö and report to the Workshop Manager. Key Responsibilities: o Team Leadership & Operations: Lead and allocate daily workshop tasks. Ensure buses are ready on schedule according to traffic needs. o Prioritization: Balance and prioritize between planned maintenance (PM), troubleshooting, and emergency repairs. o Quality & Safety: Follow up on ongoing work and ensure quality before vehicles return to service. Ensure all work – especially on electrical and high-voltage systems – is performed according to established safety procedures and regulations. o Technical Support & Troubleshooting: Support mechanics/technicians with troubleshooting and complex technical problems. Understand the interaction in modern electric buses (from high-voltage battery, BMS, inverter, and cooling systems to low-voltage and CAN communication) and know when specialist expertise is needed. o Work Environment & Organization: Ensure good order, 5S principles, and a safe and secure work environment. o Collaboration & Monitoring: Work closely with traffic management, maintenance organization, spare parts management, and external suppliers. Follow up on recurring issues, contribute to root cause analyses, and work with key metrics around vehicle availability and turnaround times. Who Are You? We are looking for someone who is present, organized, and communicative in your leadership. You can make quick, confident decisions when multiple vehicles need attention simultaneously, and you create order without micromanaging your colleagues. You have good systems understanding and a strong safety awareness. We identify with our values: Responsible, Engaged, and Inclusive. Qualifications Requirements: o Experience in team leadership, workshop management, or operations planning within heavy vehicles/buses. o Good understanding of heavy vehicles/buses and systematic diagnostics/troubleshooting. o Strong safety awareness and understanding of workplace environment management. o Good computer skills and experience working with maintenance/EAM systems and Excel. o Class B driver's license. o Good knowledge of Swedish (spoken and written) and good understanding of technical English. Merits: o Relevant high-voltage training/certification for electric vehicles. o Practical experience with electric buses or high-voltage systems. o Experience with brand-specific diagnostic systems and root cause analysis. o Class D driver's license. (Do you have the right background from a heavy vehicle workshop but lack specific electric bus or high-voltage experience? We provide necessary training for the right person!) About the Position o Location: Växjö o Employment Type: Permanent position (with probationary period). o Full-time Application Does this sound like the right challenge for you? We welcome your application! Application deadline: September 20. Selection and interviews are ongoing, so please submit your application as soon as possible.
