We are now looking for a Business Development Manager Food & Beverage who wants to drive major strategic and tactical initiatives and help shape how SJ's food and beverage offering should develop, be packaged, and meet customers going forward. Your upcoming role As a Business Development Manager Food & Beverage, you will work to develop the business based on customer needs, commercial opportunities, and operational conditions. You will drive major business and development initiatives from analysis and idea to implementation and follow-up. An important part of the role is to develop, conceptualize, and package offerings that create value for both the customer and the business. This could include, for example, how the Food & Beverage concept of the future should look, how the offering is presented and packaged, or how new sales opportunities should be developed. A central initiative forward is the development of SJ's pre-purchase business within Food & Beverage. Today, most sales take place onboard, but with new technical possibilities, there is great potential to develop how customers can order food before their trip. Here, SJ needs to understand what customers want, how the offering should be packaged and presented, and how sales can be developed in a way that works both commercially and operationally. You will, among other things: initiate, coordinate, and drive major business and development initiatives develop and package concepts, products, and offerings based on customer and business needs convert customer insights into concrete commercial solutions drive cross-functional collaboration with, among others, Vehicles, Traffic & Service, IT, and Marketing create structure and momentum in initiatives with many dependencies and stakeholders contribute to the development of working methods, processes, and supplier collaborations ensure that development initiatives go from idea and analysis to implementation and verified results contribute to the ongoing development and management of the Food & Beverage business. You will be part of Product & Concept within Commercial Traffic. The team's mission is to ensure that SJ offers attractive and competitive travel products and services that meet customer needs, can be produced efficiently, and create profitability for SJ. Expectations for the person we are seeking We are looking for someone with several years of experience in business development, commercial development, product or service development, or project management in a consumer-focused B2C business. You have worked with concept development and packaging of products, services, or offerings, and have experience translating customer needs and insights into concrete and commercially viable solutions. You do not need to come from Food & Beverage, but your background needs to be from a business where the customer, the offering, and commercial development are at the center. Experience from, for example, retail, convenience, grocery retail, meal kits, e-commerce, or the travel industry is therefore relevant. You are also experienced in working in a larger and complex organization where multiple perspectives, dependencies, and stakeholders need to be managed to create momentum. We believe you have: several years of experience in business, commercial, product, or service development experience from a consumer-focused B2C business experience in concept development and packaging of products, services, or offerings experience translating customer insights and business needs into concrete solutions experience driving change and development initiatives familiarity with working cross-functionally in a complex organization strong commercial understanding and ability to drive matters from idea to execution relevant academic education or equivalent work experience.
