About the Job Uddevalla Kulturskolan offers instruction in visual arts, dance, music, and theater for children and young people ages 5–26, as well as school break activities. At Kulturskolan, approximately 30 teachers/pedagogues work with around 1,300 children in our course activities and over 5,000 children and young people in various projects we conduct together with schools, youth centers, and other partners. Our mission is to offer meaningful leisure time by giving children and young people the opportunity to participate and develop based on their different circumstances and ambition levels. We do this by conducting engaging and innovative activities in various course formats, as well as offering school break activities and open activities both at Kulturskolan and other locations throughout the municipality. We have established collaborations with youth centers and schools in the municipality as well as several residential areas, allowing us to operate in many different venues and reach many children and young people. Through this mission, we ensure children and young people's right to culture and cultural expression according to the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child. Kulturskolan's purpose is to teach and develop children's, young people's, and young adults' aesthetic expression to promote curious, lifelong learning. Our activities are characterized by the equal value of all children and a norm-critical approach. Job Responsibilities The main assignment is to expand Kulturskolan's activities through development work that enables Kulturskolan to give more children and young people the opportunity to experience and participate in creative activities to ensure their right to culture and cultural expression. The assignment focuses on reaching those who are not aware that Kulturskolan exists or do not know what courses are offered. Your responsibilities will include: Responsibility for collaboration with primary schools on creative school initiatives and with youth centers and other partners in various projects, together with the unit manager. Plan, organize, and follow up on projects connected to state funding and municipal grants. Lead Kulturskolan's teachers working on projects and creative school initiatives by organizing, creating contacts, and supporting them in collaboration with schools and youth centers. Responsibility for development work within school break activities at Kulturskolan as part of reaching more children and young people. Participate in networks and collaborations with other organizations to strengthen Kulturskolan's role in society. Evaluate and analyze activities to identify areas for improvement and implement changes. Who We Are Looking For You are confident in a leadership role and have strong ability to lead development work at Kulturskolan together with colleagues. You have strong ability to create new contacts for collaboration with other partners. You have strong organizational skills through planning, organizing, and following up on processes you are responsible for, both independently and together with others. You have understanding for all people's differences, both cultural and social. Qualifications Artistic pedagogical higher education or other education that the employer considers equivalent. Experience working within Kulturskolan or similar activities where you have been responsible for project management and development work. Strong communication and collaboration skills to effectively cooperate with colleagues and other partners within primary schools, youth centers, and cultural organizations. Experience leading project work and good knowledge of systematic quality work and experience working structurally through planning, follow-up, and analysis of results. Ability to develop and implement new ideas and strategies that contribute to increasing accessibility and interest in Kulturskolan's activities. Creativity and flexibility in your work approach, as well as a solution-oriented attitude toward challenges. Experience working with co-creation processes. B-category driver's license.
