Responsibilities
An important part of Transitio's vehicle work is managing and developing the Vehicle-Related IT business area. As a Business Development Manager for Vehicle-Related IT, you'll have a broad role responsible for holding together and driving the area forward within Transitio. You'll be part of the technology department and work closely with vehicle managers, technical specialists, and external suppliers.
Vehicle-Related IT encompasses several systems in and around the trains, such as train control and management systems, passenger information, onboard internet, vehicle documentation, and vehicle data logging. In this role, you'll be an important link between the business and the suppliers who manage and develop the systems. You'll capture needs, translate them into clear requirements, and ensure that issues and initiatives are managed, developed, and driven forward.
Examples of responsibilities:
· Develop processes and working methods within Vehicle-Related IT
· Drive supplier dialogues and follow up on agreements, deliveries, and commitments
· Create and develop management plans for Vehicle-Related IT
· Support vehicle managers on Vehicle-Related IT related matters
· Coordinate and follow up on assignments carried out by external consultants
· Initiate and drive investigations and improvement work
About You
We're looking for someone with relevant technical education or equivalent competence built up through working life. You have at least 5 years of experience working with management and development of technical systems with long lifespans. To succeed in this role, we believe you have broad technical understanding and are experienced working closely with suppliers and consultants. If you have experience from the rail industry, we see that as a major plus.
As a person, you're analytical and structured with the ability to see how technology, systems, and business connect. You're experienced at capturing needs and translating them into structured working methods. Since the role involves many contact points, we also believe you're communicative and unpretentious with a strong ability to collaborate and drive your work independently.
