About the Workplace Southeastern Skåne Rescue Service Association (SÖRF) is responsible for rescue service operations in Simrishamn, Sjöbo, Tomelilla, and Ystad municipalities. The association's geographic area is home to approximately 85,000 residents, and the population increases significantly during the summer months due to tourism and visitor traffic. SÖRF is in a development phase where operations are being adapted to new requirements in public safety, security protection, civil defense, and authority functions. We are now seeking an Operations Coordinator who wants to help develop the association's capacity to meet future challenges. The association has approximately 160 employees, of which about 50 are full-time and 110 are part-time. Job Responsibilities The position includes tasks within the accident prevention operational area. As an Operations Coordinator, you will work with qualified tasks, plan and manage your own work, and participate in development projects and operational improvements together with colleagues and external stakeholders. The position's primary focus is authority functions and security protection. Within authority functions, you will primarily work with inspections, permits, and administrative proceedings according to the Act on Protection Against Accidents (LSO), the Act on Flammable and Explosive Goods (LBE), and other relevant legislation. The work also includes providing advice to businesses, participating in urban planning processes, and developing the association's accident prevention efforts. Within security protection, you will work broadly with requirements under the Security Protection Act and the Cyber Security Act, encompassing physical security, information security, and personnel security. The tasks also include security protection analyses, support in security-related matters, and adaptation and development of the association's capacity in security protection and crisis management. Depending on your competence and experience, the position can be tailored based on the emphasis of the work tasks. Together, we will create the conditions to capture the full scope of the position. The position is a full-time employment. The work will require you to undergo security vetting and be classified according to the Security Protection Act. Qualifications We are looking for someone with experience in authority functions and security protection who wants to help develop the rescue service of the future. You are engaged, development-oriented, and have the ability to independently drive matters from investigation and analysis to implementation. To succeed in the role, you need to have good communication skills, both verbal and written, and be structured and thorough in your work. You build trusting relationships easily and can collaborate with both internal and external stakeholders. Since the position involves authority functions and work with security-related matters, you are expected to act with high integrity, sound judgment, and great responsibility. Great emphasis will be placed on personal qualities. To apply for the position, you must have a Class B driver's license and meet one of the following formal requirements: You must have completed training in authority functions, such as "Supervision and Other Accident Prevention Activities A," "Rescue Service Training for Fire Engineers" (RUB), or equivalent training in authority functions. Alternatively, you must have training in security protection, such as security coordinator or equivalent training in security protection. The following qualifications are meriting but not required: Experience with inspection work according to LSO and/or LBE. Supervision and Other Accident Prevention Activities B, training in flammable goods, or equivalent advanced expertise in authority functions. Experience with security protection work, security protection analyses, or work under the Security Protection Act. Experience with information security, cybersecurity, or NIS2-related matters. Experience with municipal safety work, crisis preparedness, or civil defense. Experience working in rescue services, public protection, or other authority functions. Experience with project management, operational development, or coordination assignments. Scope of Employment Employment type: Permanent position Scope: Full-time, daytime schedule with 40 hours per week Place of work: The association's geographic area, Simrishamn, Sjöbo, Tomelilla, and Ystad.
