We are now seeking an Operations Director who wants to lead the development of our university college of professional education into the future. About Hermods University College of Professional Education On behalf of the Swedish Agency for Professional Education, Hermods provides post-secondary education throughout Sweden. We currently offer professional education programs in 15 locations and educate approximately 4,000 students in areas such as technology, construction, healthcare, horticulture, economics, and transport and logistics. With approximately 70 employees, from Lund in the south to Östersund in the north, we are one of the country's larger professional education providers. Through close collaboration with the business community, we ensure that our programs meet real competence needs. Through competent instructors from the industry and LIA (practical work periods), the education provides an effectiveness that creates employment for our students. In collaboration with the education programs' management groups consisting of representatives from the business community, we create programs with high relevance and strong anchoring in the industries. About the Role As Operations Director for Hermods University College of Professional Education, you have strategic and operational overall responsibility for the organization. You lead an organization with high competence and strong commitment. You are responsible for developing the organization's long-term competitiveness, growth, and quality in a rapidly changing education market with significant impact on Sweden's competence supply. Together with your managers and employees and in close collaboration with professional specialists in the business community, you create conditions for continued growth and success. Your responsibilities include: Lead, develop, and follow up on operations based on established goals. Have full responsibility for quality, personnel, budget, and results. Drive organizational development and change initiatives with focus on quality and digitalization. Ensure that the educational offering meets the labor market's needs and future competence challenges. Create conditions for high employee and student satisfaction. Build and develop relationships with government agencies, business, and other important partners. Contribute to the organization's continued development and growth. You report to the Education Director for Hermods within AcadeMedia's adult education division and are part of the management group. Who We Are Looking For We seek someone who is an experienced and confident leader with documented ability to create results through others. You are accustomed to leading managers and successfully driving organizations undergoing change. To succeed in this role, we see that you: Have experience leading managers and organizations with geographic distribution. Have worked in a business-oriented service operation with strong customer and results focus. Have experience driving change and development initiatives, preferably with elements of digitalization. Have good financial understanding and experience with budget and results responsibility. Have the ability to combine strategic perspective with operational effectiveness. Have a strong ability to create engagement, participation, and clarity in the organization. As a person, you are structured, analytical, and goal-oriented. You have a strong interest in organizational development and are driven by identifying improvement opportunities that create long-term value for both the organization and its stakeholders.
