Operations Manager with passion for fitness to Friskis & Svettis Katrineholm.
Do you have a passion for leadership, business development, and fitness training? Do you want to run one of Katrineholm's most welcoming fitness facilities while inspiring our members directly on the gym floor? Then we're looking for you!
About the Role
As Operations Manager at Friskis & Svettis, you have overall responsibility for running, developing, and managing our entire operation. You report to the board and lead the organization toward set goals.
The role is unique and versatile: one moment you're making strategic decisions about finances and marketing, the next you're stepping into the gym, turning up the music, and leading our members through an intense workout.
Your main responsibilities:
Strategic & Operational Leadership: Lead, motivate, and develop both our staff and our invaluable volunteers.
Business & Operations Development: Drive the organization forward, identify new growth opportunities, and expand our training offerings.
Financial Responsibility: Budget responsibility, follow-up, results accountability, and reporting to the board.
Marketing & Networking: Make Friskis & Svettis visible in the local market and build relationships with partners and companies.
Inspire on the Floor: Plan and regularly lead your own training sessions. You are the face of the organization and embody the passion for fitness in practice.
Who Are You?
To succeed in this role, we believe you're a confident and visible leader who loves building relationships. You have strong business acumen while also having a big heart for the nonprofit sector and community organizations.
We're looking for someone with:
Relevant post-secondary education (e.g., in business, leadership, or sports science) or equivalent experience.
Documented experience with personnel responsibility, budget management, and operations management.
Experience in the fitness industry and a certified fitness instructor (or good potential to quickly train through Friskis & Svettis).
Strong communication skills and comfort speaking in front of groups—both in meeting rooms and in the gym.
Experience working in a member-driven or values-driven organization.
What Do We Offer?
We offer an exciting and varied key role in one of Sweden's largest and most beloved sports organizations. With us, you'll have the chance to make a real difference for public health, surrounded by engaged colleagues and members. We offer you a 100% permanent position with a 6-month probationary period. A collective agreement applies.
Working hours are primarily during daytime, but evening and weekend work occurs; you are expected to plan and manage your time according to operational needs.
Start date by agreement.
