We are looking for an engaged and self-driven employee who wants to help develop Täby IS Friidrott's children's activities, running groups, track and field school, and contribute to the club's continued growth. About the Club Täby IS Friidrott is one of Sweden's largest and leading track and field clubs. In our club, some of Sweden's and the world's top track and field athletes train, and we are also the organization that gets the most people in Täby active. We have over 850 active members of all ages, from children to seniors. In our club, we value both breadth and excellence. We have strong youth activities, growing running programs, and are an experienced organizer of both major and minor track and field events. Now we are looking for someone who wants to help develop, above all, our activities for younger children and our runners, but who also enjoys working broadly in a club where tasks can vary from day to day. About the Role As an operations manager focused on children and running, you will have a central and hands-on role in the club. You will primarily be responsible for our children's activities up to age 11, develop and run our running groups, and oversee our track and field school. An important part of the role is also to create good conditions for our volunteer leaders and parent coaches. The role is both operational and developmental. You will be close to training, children, parents, and leaders, but also work with planning, structure, and development of activities. Work takes place in close dialogue with the club manager and the rest of the office. The position is based primarily at our office in Täby, but also involves being present in activities during training, activities, and events. You will also be an important part of the office and are expected to contribute practically to the club's events and arrangements, as well as other ongoing office tasks based on needs and competence. Your Main Responsibilities Children's Activities Manage and develop the club's children's activities up to age 11. Create good conditions for a safe, fun, and developmental track and field experience for children. Support, coordinate, and train our parent coaches. Conduct training sessions and create materials and structures that facilitate our volunteer coaches. Be a link between the club's office, coaches, children, and parents. Running Groups Manage and develop the club's running groups. Plan and coordinate activities together with coaches and volunteer staff. Contribute to developing the groups and creating an attractive program for both new and existing runners. Track and Field School Be responsible for the club's track and field school. Plan, organize, develop, and follow up on activities. Ensure the track and field school maintains high quality and works well for both participants and leaders. Events and Office Participate in planning, implementing, and evaluating the club's events and arrangements. Contribute before, during, and after events to ensure our competitions, races, and other activities are carried out in a good and professional manner. Collaborate with volunteer project teams, officials, and other parts of the office in connection with events. Handle other ongoing office tasks based on needs and your competence. Over time, there is an opportunity to take on greater responsibility for administrative tasks in the office. The Goal is a Full-Time Position The position initially comprises 75 percent. Our ambition is that the position should be able to expand to 100 percent over time. Once you've settled in and become familiar with the club, there is an opportunity to gradually take on additional office tasks, including finance, payroll administration, and other administration. It is an advantage if you have experience with these types of tasks. This means that over time you can have a broader and more integrated role in the club, where operations management is combined with administrative tasks. We Are Looking for Someone Who Is engaged in sports and preferably has a particular interest in track and field and/or running. Has experience working with children and young people, preferably in sports. Has experience leading, coordinating, or developing activities. Enjoys working closely with volunteer leaders, parents, and active members. Is self-driven, structured, and unpretentious. Has an easy time building relationships and communicating with different types of people. Likes taking responsibility and driving things from idea to implementation. Enjoys a role where tasks vary and where you sometimes need to roll up your sleeves and help out practically. Is comfortable both planning long-term and handling what needs to be solved here and now. Experience from club activities, youth sports, running, track and field, or events is an advantage, but what matters most is that you have the right drive, engagement, and ability to create good activities.
