The State Employment Agency (hereinafter - the Agency) announces a competition for a vacant civil service position - Senior Expert in the Career and Job Search Support Division of the Labor Market Department (1 position for an indefinite period) The purpose of the vacant position is to ensure the organization, methodological guidance, and supervision of the active employment measure "Job Search Support" in the Agency's branches to achieve the Agency's overall objectives in accordance with the Agency's strategy, annual action plan, and employment policy in the country. Requirements for candidates: compliance with the requirements of Article 7 of the State Civil Service Law; academic higher education or second-level professional higher education; desired experience in personnel recruitment, personnel management, or career management; experience in client consulting or client service organization; knowledge of regulatory acts in force in the Republic of Latvia within the scope of the position's competence; understanding of state and European Union employment policy; collaboration and control skills; ability to assess facts, analyze information, predict and assess risks; initiative, communication skills; for the performance of the position's duties, good knowledge of English language in writing and spoken form is desirable to ensure experience exchange with experts from other countries; experience working with computers (user level) and knowledge of the operating principles of technical tools necessary for the work and their use; valid e-signature tool. Key duties of the position will include: ensuring supervision of the development and preparation of Individual Job Search Plans in branches, methodically guiding the substantive supervision and improvement of unemployment profiling methods, involving persons in active employment measures and preventive unemployment reduction measures; organizing employee training, developing methodological materials, ensuring uniform understanding of the application of job search methods to target groups; participating in the development of information technology solutions, as well as participating in the testing of information technology solutions and acceptance of related documents; ensuring the implementation of the Agency's e-services, developing self-service portal services, and providing consultative support to portal users in using e-services. The selection competition will take place in three rounds: First round - evaluation of candidates' education and work experience based on submitted documents. Second round – practical work, based on the results of which the candidate's professional knowledge will be assessed. Third round - interview, during which the candidate's knowledge and competencies will be assessed in accordance with the requirements set for the position. Candidates who achieve a certain number of points in the test work will be invited to the interview. The candidate evaluation commission will not evaluate applications that do not include the documents specified in the announcement. We will contact candidates who are selected for the second round of personnel selection.
