As a care unit manager within Anopiva's intensive care section, you'll have a meaningful role in a highly specialized operation where expertise, research, and patient safety go hand in hand. Together with dedicated staff and fellow managers, you'll shape the future of intensive care and surgical nursing. Our Offer Anopiva, anesthesia, surgery and intensive care, is the largest clinic at Linköping University Hospital and within Region Östergötland. With us, you'll become part of an operation with over 500 employees, organized into the intensive care section, operation north, operation south, and the sterile technical unit. Here, highly specialized care is combined with development drive and a shared focus on the patient's best interests. The intensive care section comprises CIVA, Postop, and CIMA – three operations with different missions and close collaboration around the patient's journey through care. At CIVA, patients of all ages with life-threatening conditions are cared for. The unit has 80-100 beds and provides highly specialized intensive care in newly renovated facilities designed for future needs. CIMA has six beds for patients with increased care needs, for example after intensive care, major surgery, or minor trauma. Postop has 24 beds where both children and adults are admitted after everything from day surgery to advanced procedures. This is a high-tech and staff-intensive environment where many professions and disciplines work closely together. Job Description As a care unit manager, you have overall responsibility for operations, finances, personnel, and work environment. The role is based on shared leadership and close collaboration with current care unit managers within the intensive care section. Together, you'll create clarity, continuity, and good conditions for staff to provide safe, high-quality care. You work closely with the section manager, who has medical responsibility for the section's operations, and with the clinic's other care unit managers, section managers, deputy operations managers, and operations manager. In dialogue with the clinics that collaborate around patients, you drive the operation forward and put shared goals into practice. You also participate in Anopiva's management group together with care unit and section managers, research coordinator, deputy operations manager, and operations manager. Work Team You'll lead an interprofessional team with nursing assistants, nursing aides, specialist nursing aides, physiotherapists, nurses, and specialist nurses in intensive care. Here, there is broad and deep expertise, and development is created close to operations through workplace meetings and study days in collaboration with education coordinators. As part of the clinic's management group, you collaborate across unit and professional boundaries. Together with the operations manager, care unit managers, and section managers, you work on salary setting, work environment, recruitment, and operations development. The shared goal is clear: to continually improve patient safety, accessibility, care, and quality. About You You have relevant education at least at secondary school level. Healthcare experience and experience in intensive care and specialist training are merits, as are management experience and management training. For you to thrive and fit in with us, your personal qualities are important. You are confident, stable, and have good self-awareness and the ability to adapt your work approach based on circumstances, and you have good organizational skills, ability to structure and collaborate. You have good communication skills and show good judgment toward patients, relatives, and colleagues.
