We are now seeking a healthcare controller who wants to be part of developing management, monitoring, and analysis within the Surgery, Urology, and ENT operational area in Region Västernorrland. The Surgery, Urology, and ENT operational area is responsible for specialist care for the region's residents and operates in Sundsvall and Örnsköldsvik. The assignment includes planned and acute care, surgical operations, and outpatient activities. We offer a development-oriented role in an operation in constant evolution with a focus on accessibility, quality, and efficient resource use. You will work closely with operational management, section managers, and other key functions in a professional and engaged organization where collaboration and improvement work are central. The position is a permanent full-time employment, with start date by agreement. Responsibilities As a healthcare controller, you have a central role in the operation's management and development. The role offers great opportunities to influence the operation's development and to build a modern analysis and monitoring function. You will gradually be introduced to the operation through close collaboration with the operational manager, finance function, unit managers, and other support functions. You will work with, among other things: Responsibility for monitoring and analysis of care production, accessibility, and operational results. Prepare, quality assure, and present decision-making materials to operational management and management groups. Develop and monitor relevant key figures and indicators. Support the operation in production planning and capacity analyses. Conduct analyses of patient flows and resource utilization. Contribute to improvement and development work within the operational area. Cooperate with finance, HR, and analysis functions within Region Västernorrland. Develop reporting and visualization of operational data in, for example, Power BI. Qualifications We are looking for you who: Have an academic degree in economics, statistics, industrial economics, operational development, health economics, public administration, or other education that the employer deems equivalent Have good knowledge in analysis, monitoring, and operational management Have work experience in analysis and improvement work, preferably within healthcare or the public sector Have experience processing, analyzing, and presenting data for managers and management groups Have very good knowledge of Excel and other analysis tools Have very good knowledge of Swedish in both speech and writing Master the English language in both speech and writing It is a merit if you: Have education within healthcare Have education in quality development, process development, or change management Have completed advanced studies in statistics, data analysis, or Business Intelligence Have work experience in production planning, accessibility monitoring, or care flow analysis Have experience working with healthcare data, key figures, quality registers, or operational systems within healthcare Have experience working with Power BI or equivalent decision support tools Have experience with financial monitoring and budget work Have a category B driver's license To succeed in the role, we believe you have these personal qualities: Judgment Holistic perspective Pedagogical insight Region Västernorrland With approximately 7,000 employees and over 200 professions, we at Region Västernorrland are responsible for several of the activities that are most important for residents' ability to participate in society.
