We are now seeking a custodian who wants to help create a welcoming, safe, and well-functioning work and study environment for our students and staff. Your duties As a custodian with us, you have an important role and responsibility for the daily operations of our facilities and work closely with school leadership, administration, teachers, and other staff. Your tasks include, among other things: - Responsibility for minor repairs, assembly, and maintenance of furniture and facilities. - Handle fault reports and maintain contact with property owners, suppliers, and external contractors. - Order, receive, and distribute materials, furniture, and equipment. - Responsibility for key management, access cards, and permissions according to operational procedures. - Prepare facilities for teaching, meetings, exams, and other activities. - Provide practical support during relocations, furnishings, and operational changes. - Follow up on matters concerning safety, fire protection, and the physical work environment. - Contribute to ensuring that the school's common areas are functional, safe, and welcoming. - Provide good service to students, staff, and visitors and be a natural contact person for practical matters. Who are you? We are looking for someone who is comfortable with physical work and is handy. You are comfortable working alone and in a group and have experience working as a custodian or in property management. You have an approach where good service and conduct are in focus and where you work based on the school's and municipality's values. You see connections and take responsibility for the whole by being inspiring and clear in both verbal and written communication. You understand the importance of working closely with your colleagues and your direct manager. You have an open, unpretentious, and solution-focused approach, as well as understanding of collegial and collective contexts. Requirements: - Completed upper secondary education, such as in plumbing or a property program with a focus on property management, and good experience working physically. Meritorious: - Experience working at an adult education facility, particularly with adults in an intercultural context. - Previous experience in custodial or property management work.
