We are now seeking a facilities manager for the open-air museum Gammplatsen. The Forest and Sámi Museum is a company jointly owned by Lycksele Municipality and Region Västerbotten. We have a regional responsibility to collect, preserve, and share knowledge about forests, forest history, and Sámi cultural heritage. The museum is beautifully located at Gammplatsen in Lycksele, a historic cultural environment from the 1600s. The Forest and Sámi Museum oversees operations at the open-air museum area together with Lycksele Homestead Association and Lycksele Sámi Association. The Forest and Sámi Museum is seeking a facilities manager for the open-air museum Gammplatsen. As a facilities manager, you will work with operations and maintenance of the area. The position also includes supervising interns and seasonal workers. Some work on weekends is required. YOUR PROFILE We believe you have experience working with properties and buildings. You have practical education in the field or other education that the employer considers equivalent, or alternatively you have experience as a facilities manager. You take responsibility for completing your work tasks and are experienced in managing and following up on work. Furthermore, you are service-oriented, have good hospitality skills, and a strong ability to collaborate. Great weight will be placed on personal suitability. We would like to see that you have experience working in cultural-historical environments. A valid B-class driver's license is required.
