We are now seeking on-call security guards for our office in Östersund. Working as a security guard is perfect for you if you enjoy working with people and helping them in their daily lives. As a security guard at our Östersund office, you'll be part of a tight-knit team of about 50 colleagues. Shift lengths vary but are often 12-hour shifts, either day or night. It's common to work every other weekend. As a patrol guard, your primary task is to deliver security to our customers – mainly at industries, offices and workshops – by protecting property and buildings against fire, theft and damage. Usually you manage the alarm systems and report using a computerized patrol information system. The work is independent and often feels free, but with great responsibility. Work hours are mainly nights but day shifts also occur, where you often work within retail environments and perform security monitoring for our customers. Within the patrol guard category, there may also be alarm responses, parking surveillance and guard assistance. As a stationary guard, your primary task is to deliver security to one of our customers by being attentive and ensuring everything is in order. You often work at the entrance to a larger company and check those passing in and out, but you may also conduct patrols and camera monitoring. Work tasks vary from customer to customer. You work independently and under your own responsibility, usually both day and night. Missing security guard training? We'll provide it! The basic training is 9 working days long and is conducted at various locations in Sweden before employment begins. We are security. We are Securitas. Requirements Category B driver's license At least 18 years old Have passed grades in Swedish at upper secondary school level Meritorious if you Have completed security guard training, VU1 and VU2 Are trained as a protective officer, either military or civilian, and have a valid protective officer certificate Are trained as an order guard with valid appointment Have experience working in the security industry As a person, we see that you are a service-oriented, calm and organized person who can handle periodically high work pace. You are interested in technology and find it easy to understand instructions. We see that you are self-reliant and trust your own ability, quickly understand problems and solve them in a creative way. You have a systematic and careful approach with an eye for detail.
