FACULTY OF COMPUTER SCIENCE, INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY AND ENERGY, Institute of Information Technology
for one (1) LEAD RESEARCHER position (0.4 workload) – in the field of Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Information and Communication Technology, in the subdiscipline of Systems Analysis, Modeling and Design
Duties and Qualification Requirements:
▪ Ph.D. degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or Engineering;
▪ in-depth knowledge and practical experience in information systems and cybersecurity management;
▪ understanding of cybersecurity management and security management models, as well as knowledge in the field of cybersecurity monitoring, threat detection and incident response solutions;
▪ knowledge and experience in conducting classes, organizing examinations and supervising research work will be considered an advantage;
▪ ability to collaborate with colleagues, responsiveness, ability to listen to others and build effective communication;
▪ ability to make decisions by evaluating information and taking responsibility for them;
▪ good knowledge of Latvian and English for the performance of international duties;
▪ salary from 9.20 EUR/hour.

an application addressed to the Rector on participation in the competition;
a curriculum vitae indicating scientific, pedagogical, organizational work experience and a list of published works from the last 6 (six) years (it is recommended to attach the list of published works as a separate annex), as well as other documents that the candidate wishes to attach to the application to more fully characterize their qualifications;
copies of documents confirming scientific/academic degrees or higher education and, if necessary, other documents established by legal acts (for example, documents confirming the state language proficiency level and the like), presenting their originals, if the candidate is applying to RTU for the first time and has not previously submitted copies of these documents to the Department of Human and Organizational Development;
a public presentation on their scientific activities, which must be presented to the structural unit (or council/board) in a timely manner before election.
