Jelgava City Municipality Preschool Educational Institution "Pasaciņa" announces a competition for the position of Deputy Manager in the Education Field at Jelgava City Municipality Preschool Educational Institution "Pasaciņa"
Main Responsibilities:
1) in cooperation with the manager, ensure strategic planning of the institution's development, setting objectives for education quality and implementation of educational programs, qualitative and quantitative achievable results;
2) participate in the Institution's budget planning and implementation, ensuring necessary teaching materials and material-technical support for modern, quality, inclusive educational processes;
3) plan and monitor education quality, fostering a learning organization culture and traditions in the institution, ensuring professional approach to the implementation of preschool education content;
4) manage the work of preschool teachers, monitor their professional competence development, provide practical and theoretical support to teachers, support personnel, teacher assistants, and parents;
5) ensure regular self-evaluation of own work and the institution's work, identifying strengths and development needs;
6) participate in the city's preschool education work, plan and implement the collection and promotion of the institution's positive experience;
7) ensure methodological work and quality management of the educational institution;
8) provide methodological support to educators.
Requirements for Candidates:
1) education in accordance with Cabinet of Ministers Regulations No. 569 of September 11, 2018 "Regulations on Education and Professional Qualifications Required for Pedagogues and the Procedure for Improving Pedagogues' Professional Competence" point 13;
2) the candidate is not subject to restrictions established in the Education Law and the Child Rights Protection Law to work as a pedagogue;
3) at least 3 years of pedagogical work experience in the education field. Experience in preschool education institution management will be considered an advantage;
4) knowledge in education content and education quality issues - understanding of competence-based approach in curriculum, competence-based curriculum planning and implementation in preschool;
5) knowledge of regulatory acts governing the operation of educational institutions, state and municipal education development priorities;
6) ability to motivate employees and teamwork skills;
7) good skills in working with information and communication technologies;
8) sense of responsibility, discipline, ability to make independent decisions and carry them out;
9) psychological resilience, cooperation and public speaking skills;
10) knowledge of the state language at the highest level and knowledge of at least one official European Union language in the scope necessary for professional activities.

3) a certificate that the candidate is not subject to restrictions established in the Education Law and the Child Rights Protection Law to work as a pedagogue in accordance with Appendix 1 of the Competition Regulations;
4) copies of documents confirming education in one copy; if education was obtained abroad, a document on academic recognition of education in Latvia must be attached;
5) copy of state language proficiency certificate submitted by candidates for whom Latvian is not a native language.
