WORK TASKS Inflow water and pipe network investigations in focus As a VA Engineer at Rörnät, you will primarily work with inflow water investigations and upstream work to develop and improve our pipe network. The role also involves participating in investigations, analyses, and projects related to wastewater, stormwater, and drinking water issues. Renewal work will have a major focus in the coming years, and you will also be part of the working group for renewal planning and renewal work. Rörnät consists of a dedicated and competent group of approximately 25 employees, where engineers, foremen, pipe layers, flushing truck operators, and divers work together to develop and maintain the municipality's VA facilities. This is a new position within the unit, which means we are looking for someone with experience in inflow water work who can contribute with knowledge and structure in this area. At the same time, the role offers good opportunities to influence, develop, and organize working methods and contribute to the continued development of the operation. Other work tasks within the unit's operational area may occur based on operational needs. On-call duties may be part of the position. QUALIFICATIONS Requirements: Education as a VA Engineer or other education that the employer deems equivalent. Previous experience and knowledge in inflow water work. Good understanding of hydraulic calculations and dimensioning. Experience in designing VA pipes and working in CAD and GIS systems. Class B driver's license is required. Personal qualities: Structured and thorough with good ability to plan and prioritize. Communicative and collaborative. Solution-oriented and proactive. Meritorious: Experience working in municipal VA operations. Education and/or experience in VA fees and KFVA. Knowledge of contract law and procurement processes.
