The Department of Technology and Property Management is responsible for Botkyrka Municipality's public facilities and water and wastewater infrastructure. We develop and manage the municipality's properties and plan and implement investments in both new and existing facilities and water and wastewater systems to meet the municipality's long-term needs. The department also manages property operations, grounds maintenance, cleaning services, and transport and vehicle services. With approximately 300 employees, we work toward sustainable solutions and well-functioning public services. The Position and Your Responsibilities We are seeking a Water and Wastewater Handler for the Water and Wastewater Unit in Botkyrka Municipality. As a Water and Wastewater Handler, you will work with administration and case handling related to the municipality's water and wastewater operations. The role involves managing subscriber cases and ensuring that information, fees, and documentation are handled correctly in the department's systems. You will have ongoing contact with subscribers, property owners, and colleagues in the municipality, which means the role combines case handling, customer service, and administrative work. In this position, you will contribute to developing work methods and procedures in the field, for example by updating forms, documents, and information materials. The work also includes handling supplier invoices as well as billing and monitoring of water and wastewater fees. Your main responsibilities: handle subscriber cases such as new customers, ownership changes, moving notifications, and meter readings manage financial tasks such as payment management and reconciliations handle invoices and work with billing of water and wastewater fees register, check, and update information in the department's systems maintain ongoing contact with subscribers, property owners, and colleagues in the municipality contribute to developing and updating procedures, forms, and information materials in your work area Beyond this, you will perform basic inspections related to properties' connections to the water and wastewater network. You work closely with colleagues in the water and wastewater unit and contribute to ensuring legally sound and service-oriented handling of the municipality's water and wastewater cases. What We're Looking For You have completed upper secondary education in finance and experience with administrative work where you have handled cases, registration, or similar tasks. You also have experience with customer contact and are familiar with working in digital business systems. Other requirements for the position: Experience with invoice handling and billing. Experience with administrative work where you have handled cases or tasks in business systems. Experience with customer contact via telephone or email. Experience working in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Word. We consider it advantageous if you have: Experience with case handling in water and wastewater operations or technical property management. Experience with administrative work in municipal operations. Experience with ERP systems (Unit4), EDP Future, or Visma Amili. A B-class driver's license. As a Water and Wastewater Handler, you are structured and responsible. You work methodically with cases and ensure that tasks are registered and followed up correctly. You are thorough in your work and maintain a calm and secure work style, even when multiple cases are ongoing simultaneously and the pace is high. The role requires that you can plan and prioritize your work so that case handling maintains high quality and service over time. You are also collaborative and service-oriented. In your work, you have ongoing contact with both subscribers and colleagues, which means you need to communicate clearly and contribute to solutions through dialogue with others. Through professional and trustworthy interactions, you build confidence and contribute to good service to the municipality's residents.
