At Göteborgs Kulturskolan, we offer children and youth ages 6-19 a broad range of activities in visual arts and crafts, dance, theater, film, and music. We offer both long and short courses as well as open activities during children's and young people's free time in the evenings, weekends, and school breaks. Part of our work is conducted in close collaboration with schools, after-school programs, and youth meeting places. The Kulturskolan's unit for operations development is a team consisting of development leaders and operations developers who work with the kulturskolan's systematic quality work, long-term development projects, and the planning and implementation of major events. Now we are taking the next step in our development through an exciting new assignment that will help strengthen the organization's future capabilities. We are seeking an experienced development leader with the ability to inspire and help others grow. Responsibilities As a development leader at kulturskolan, you will work with: Process leadership and operations development at both strategic and operational levels. Lead and drive development work to increase accessibility to kulturskolan's activities in socioeconomically disadvantaged areas. Change management – the ability to motivate and engage colleagues in new working methods and development. Development and implementation of new working methods together with kulturskolan's other staff, such as educators and coordinators. The assignment varies throughout the year and includes periods of high activity. This means that your work hours may sometimes be scheduled for evenings and weekends according to operational needs. During quieter periods, there is an opportunity to compensate with flexible time off. Qualifications Requirements: Higher education or post-secondary education in pedagogy, arts, or equivalent education that the employer deems relevant for the position Experience leading change work and managing people through change Experience with process leadership and project management Experience working in a kulturskolan and/or other educational work with children and youth Competence and experience handling various digital tools in your work Meritorious for the position: Experience in educational work in socioeconomically disadvantaged areas Experience with innovation work and developing new working methods for and together with educational staff Experience with children's rights work and/or training as a children's rights strategist Experience working in public administration and/or a large and complex organization Experience with own artistic practice Category B driver's license, and comfort driving a small van/cargo van Personal Competencies We are looking for someone who is attentive, collaborative, and communicative with the ability to build trusting relationships. Through clear process leadership, you create structure, coordination, and momentum while adapting your working methods and priorities based on operational needs and changed circumstances. Since you will alternate between operations-focused and more strategic tasks, this requires flexibility. You naturally adapt to how the work develops, can quickly change your approach and working methods, and see opportunities in change.
