Do you want to make a difference and contribute to safer care and social services through qualified investigative and analytical work? The Swedish Health and Social Care Inspectorate (IVO) is in a development phase where our mission is expanding and placing increasing demands on supervision and licensing reviews. We are now recruiting an Analyst to the Analysis Division who wants to help develop our operations to become more strategic, efficient, and consistent. About the position As an analyst in the Analysis Division, you will work on developing, analyzing, and communicating materials that can contribute to the development of IVO's supervision and licensing review processes. You plan and conduct qualified investigations and analyses and translate results into reports and other knowledge materials. The work is team-based and you often handle multiple assignments in parallel with different professions and functions within the agency. The assignments vary in nature and scope, and so does your role. You may be responsible for an assignment, coordinate parts of the work, or contribute investigative and analytical expertise to a working group. Your main tasks as an analyst will include: planning and conducting data collection, analyses, and follow-ups identifying and evaluating information from various sources and translating it into assessments and conclusions writing reports and developing other knowledge materials for government assignments and self-initiated projects presenting results in various contexts leading and participating in work requiring analytical thinking and problem-solving contributing to environmental monitoring and operations development. Qualifications We are looking for someone with: an academic degree in an area relevant to the position, such as national economics, social sciences, political science, statistics, sociology, or public health several years of current experience with qualified investigative and analytical work in public administration current experience with report writing in investigative work current experience leading investigations or projects strong analytical ability and the ability to draw conclusions based on information and data very good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written. To succeed in the role, you need good collaboration skills and the ability to build strong relationships with both internal and external stakeholders. You are self-driven, take initiative, and actively contribute to progress in both assignments and development work. You can view an issue from multiple perspectives and can summarize complex information into a clear whole. You work carefully and systematically and deliver high-quality work. Personal qualities and abilities will be heavily weighted in the recruitment process. Other information Position: Analyst at the Analysis Division Employment form: permanent position with six months probationary period Work location: Stockholm Working hours: Flexible hours Start date: By agreement Workplace description The Analysis Division conducts extensive and exciting work to develop more risk-based and data-driven supervision, and has a strategic role for the agency. The division is part of core operations where collaboration with supervision and licensing review is an important part. The division currently employs approximately 75 staff across four units with assignments in analysis, statistics, registers, and information services. The goal is to contribute to targeted and consistent supervision and share our knowledge. The position is located in one of our analysis units that works on agency-wide assignments. The unit conducts both qualitative and quantitative analyses within IVO's entire area of responsibility, which includes healthcare, dental care, and social services. We are also responsible for the agency's surveys and work professionally with survey design and data collection through questionnaires. IVO contributes to safe and secure care and social services IVO stands for commitment and broad knowledge of Swedish care and social services. We inspect, learn lessons, and work to make care and social services better and safer – always with a focus on patients and service users. We have just over 900 employees. Supervision work is conducted at six regional offices in Umeå, Stockholm, Örebro, Jönköping, Gothenburg, and Malmö. In Stockholm, there are also agency-wide divisions for stakeholder control, operational support, legal support, analysis, planning and communication, and the Director General's office.
