Job Responsibilities As an investigator, you will work to receive, investigate and follow up cases where benefits may be suspected to have been paid incorrectly, including as a result of suspected benefit fraud. You will be responsible for conducting these investigations in close cooperation with social workers within the department and with colleagues in the team. Your assignment also includes deciding whether to report to the police and whether to initiate recovery procedures. Our department's work to prevent and investigate suspected benefit fraud also means that you may be assigned tasks where you contribute to the department's development work in the area of financial assistance. In this work, you will participate together with your colleagues in various collaboration forums, including with other relevant authorities and local networks based on the assignment. You will have the support of engaged colleagues and management as well as access to external supervision. Qualifications We are looking for someone with a degree in social work or other relevant and equivalent higher education. You have several years of experience in investigative work and you also have experience working with public authority responsibilities. To succeed in this assignment, you need to have very strong administrative skills and you need to have good communication skills, both with collaboration partners and colleagues but also in writing as documentation is an important part of the work. Very good skills in Swedish, both spoken and written, are also a prerequisite for success in the assignment. It is an advantage if you have previous experience handling means-tested benefits and experience handling incorrect payments within a public authority. As a person, you need to be structured in your daily work and at the same time adaptable to the situations you encounter. You are socially oriented and enjoy collaborating and communicating with others to achieve common goals. You also have good analytical skills that help you understand complex contexts and make well-founded decisions. You are also not opposed to taking your own initiatives and driving the work forward in an independent and responsible manner.
