Content and responsibilities You will be organized under Shared Business Support and placed at the office of the Faculty of Engineering and Society, with your workplace at Niagara. The Faculty of Engineering and Society includes the Department of Computer Science and Media Technology and the Department of Materials Science and Applied Mathematics. The environment is international with teachers, researchers, and students from over 25 different nationalities. The position involves handling student-related matters. As an Educational Administrator, you are an important part of the office's educational administration team and you work closely with the faculty's departments handling student-related matters in collaboration with education coordinators, program directors, and teachers, as well as with the faculty's education coordinator. You have a central function in creating conditions for systematically and quality-assured work with educational administration processes. The role also includes providing administrative support to the faculty's master's programs. Examples of tasks for an Educational Administrator: Handle student-related matters such as course credits, study interruptions, study leaves, applications to later parts of programs, and individual study plans within undergraduate education. Enter results in Ladok, establish program structures, and perform admissions and registration in Ladok. Continuously ensure that courses, programs, and course offerings are available in Utbildningsinfo. Participate as a handler in the faculty's course committee, which means providing administrative support in processes concerning the preparation and handling of course plans within undergraduate and graduate education. When needed, serve as a presenter at the dean's decision meeting. Provide support to departments regarding laws, regulations, internal decisions and guidelines, as well as decision-making procedures. Administration in other areas may also be included. The role of Educational Administrator requires you to collaborate with many employees in a complex environment. Your role is an important resource for creating conditions to work systematically with the faculty's educational offerings and educational administration matters. Qualifications You should have an academic education that the employer considers relevant and solid experience working with educational administration at a university or higher education institution. You have worked with qualified handling of education, preferably at both undergraduate and graduate levels. You have experience with public administration and are well familiar with the laws and regulations governing the university's educational activities. As an Educational Administrator, you have a key role in the faculty's educational work and your contact points are directed toward both the faculty's departments and students. The work requires that you are collaborative, have an unpretentious approach, and can build trusting relationships. You are communicative, driven, and have a solution-oriented work approach. Work with study administration processes requires that you are organized, patient, and can work independently. Workload can be high during certain periods, which is why it is important that you can plan and prioritize your work. We work daily in a variety of different systems and you need to have well-developed system understanding and be comfortable learning new digital tools and work methods. You must master university-wide tools such as Ladok, Utbildningsinfo, and Canvas, as well as have good knowledge of application systems such as NyA. You are an experienced user of Microsoft 365. The university is an international environment and the activities require that you have very good knowledge of English and Swedish in both speech and writing.
