The Finance Department is a central part of Stockholm University and consists of three sections: central administration, the accounting section, and the procurement section. We are now seeking a Procurement Specialist to strengthen our team in the procurement section. In this role, you will contribute expertise in procurement including advisory services and participate in information and training initiatives for staff in the operations. More information about us can be found at: Finance Department Job Responsibilities As a Procurement Specialist, you will project manage parallel procurements regarding framework agreements for consumables and services as well as contracts for services, research equipment, and systems. In the procurements, you will act as project manager and collaborate with requirement setters as well as operational representatives. The position involves an extensive network of contacts with institutions, centers, and departments within the university as well as external contacts with suppliers and other government agencies. You will be part of the Procurement Section, which consists of 20 experienced colleagues, and there is great opportunity for development and knowledge sharing. The section is led by the Head of Procurement. We have recently developed a method for category management at higher education institutions and have begun its implementation. Qualifications Requirements We are seeking someone with post-secondary education in public procurement or equivalent education/experience that we deem equivalent, and at least four years of experience independently conducting procurements in the public sector. You have a strong ability to express yourself well both verbally and in writing in Swedish and English.
