Subject area for the position: Legal Science with focus on Procedural Law Work location: Kalmar Employment extent: 100 percent, permanent. Probation is normally applied. Start date: By agreement. Job description Work tasks consist of research, education planning, teaching and examination in specialized legal science education such as the upcoming law program. Some teaching in other professional programs with legal science elements may occur. During the first two years, 50 percent research is included in the position, in year three 30 percent, thereafter according to applicable working time agreement (currently 20 percent). This means actively conducting research and contributing to the establishment and development of education and research environments within legal science. Travel between the university's two campuses may occur since teaching can be included at both Kalmar and Växjö. Qualifications Eligible for employment as a lecturer is a person who has demonstrated pedagogical skills and holds a Doctor of Laws (Juris Doctor) degree or has equivalent scientific competence within a relevant subject area. The position requires that the applicant has documented good collaboration skills in relation to both student groups and colleagues within work teams and research environments. Ability to teach in Swedish and English is required. Assessment criteria The degree of skill required for eligibility for employment as a lecturer shall serve as the assessment criteria for employment. The assessment of pedagogical skills shall receive equal care as the assessment of other eligibility requirements. Guiding principles for assessing scientific skills are the independence, scope and quality of one's own research. Pedagogical skills shall be demonstrated through teaching and concern development, planning, implementation and evaluation of teaching, as well as supervision and examination. Pedagogical skills shall demonstrate a reflective approach to students' learning and to one's own teaching role.
