For the full job announcement, please visit "apply here" Qualifications To be eligible for employment as a university lecturer, you must have demonstrated teaching competence and hold a Doctor of Laws (juris doctor) degree or a foreign degree deemed equivalent to a Doctor of Laws degree, or have attained equivalent scientific competence or other professional skills relevant to the subject matter and duties of the position. For a university lecturer position, it is a general eligibility requirement to be suitable and possess the ability necessary to perform the duties of the position well. According to Lund University's employment regulations, applicants must also have completed at least five weeks of higher education pedagogy training or have acquired equivalent knowledge in another way to be eligible. If there are special reasons, an applicant without at least five weeks of higher education pedagogy training may still be considered eligible. Assessment Criteria The degree of competence required for eligibility shall serve as the assessment criterion for university lecturer positions. The evaluation of teaching competence shall receive equal attention as the evaluation of other eligibility requirements. For university lecturer positions, the following shall form the basis for assessment: Strong national and international standing as a researcher, with international qualifications assessed considering the nature and tradition of the field Strong teaching ability, including the ability to conduct, develop, and lead teaching and other educational activities at various levels using diverse teaching methods Ability to supervise doctoral candidates in doctoral studies Ability to collaborate with society and communicate about your work Ability to lead and develop activities Ability to teach in Swedish or another Scandinavian language in the law program is required, as is ability to teach in English Documented experience teaching Swedish civil procedure law Particular weight will be placed on: Strong subject knowledge in Swedish civil procedure law Experience with course responsibility at basic and/or advanced level Creativity and demonstrated innovative ability regarding course development, learning modules, and teaching materials Weight will also be placed on in civil procedure law: Broad subject-specific competence Documented ability to formulate research applications for external funding Documented international research and teaching experience, for example through publications, research and teaching visits abroad, research collaborations, and conference presentations Application Instructions Applications for this position must be submitted electronically via Lund University's application portal.
