Your Responsibilities The Department of Culture, Society, Form, and Media (KSFM) conducts research and provides undergraduate and postgraduate education in areas including Global Studies, Culture and Media Design, and the research environment Culture and Society. This position focuses on spatial design, production processes, and industry knowledge within the field of exhibitions, museums, and cultural production, including their content creation as well as administrative and strategic processes and working conditions. Teaching can be simplified into four main areas: Concept and idea development Content and form, research, production, and design Project and process management and collaboration Public meetings, publication, and documentation As a University Lecturer in Culture and Media Design with a focus on spatial design, you will teach at undergraduate and advanced levels in Swedish and mentor students in the various education programs at the KSFM department. The position may also include administrative tasks. Your Qualifications We are looking for someone who has demonstrated pedagogical skill and has shown artistic skill, or possesses other professional skills relevant to the subject content and work tasks of this position. For this position, equal weight will be placed on both artistic and pedagogical skill as well as professional skill. Regarding artistic skill, the following will be assessed: Required for the position is documented artistic skill relating to the interdisciplinary and cross-media main area Culture and Media Design, with a focus on spatial design. Required for the position is documented own production or artistic activity. This can be demonstrated through one or more of the following areas: producing exhibitions within the museum field in a broad sense, for subject museums as well as art museums, curating your own exhibitions within a broad spectrum of activities from the public to private sector, own artistic creation and participation in projects in a creative, conceptual development role. Meritorious for the position is documented skill regarding the conditions, strategies, institutional and commercial practices of cultural production. This can be demonstrated in one or more of the following areas: museums and organizations, history of the exhibition medium, cultural policy governance and financing structures, and strategies for public cultural activities. Regarding pedagogical skill, the following will be assessed: Required for the position is documented pedagogical skill addressing the interdisciplinary and cross-media main area Culture and Media Design. This can be demonstrated in one or more of the following areas: cultural, social science, spatial, formal, technical, and interaction-based forms and perspectives. Particularly meritorious is documented pedagogical skill in design-oriented and project-oriented pedagogy, as well as the ability to develop these pedagogical forms. Meritorious is documented skill in teaching within interdisciplinary and cross-media education where design and scientific perspectives interact. Other skills that will be assessed for this position are Required for the position is documented professional skill within relevant industries, such as the museum world, related to planning and implementing exhibition projects. Meritorious are good collaborative abilities and the ability to contribute to the work group's development, collegial working methods, and social community. Meritorious is a structured approach to work, demonstrated through the ability to plan, organize, and prioritize work efficiently. Meritorious is also the ability to create and maintain good relationships with colleagues and students in both your own environment and beyond in your pedagogical activities. Since teaching takes place in Swedish, you must be able to demonstrate the ability to teach in Swedish.
