You are welcome to Norberg, the small municipality with a big heart. Our operations are characterized by strong commitment among staff, short decision-making processes, and community spirit. If you want to be part of this, you are warmly welcome.
Description
Are you a courageous, curious, and solution-focused social worker who is passionate about ensuring that children and young people grow up without the risk of developing antisocial behavior? Norberg Municipality is looking for you to join our Children and Family team!
With us, you will be an important part of a strong and skilled team. In Norberg, we have short decision-making processes and a strong commitment to meeting the social services of the future together. The team includes three social workers, a reception secretary, a foster care secretary, a school social worker, four family support workers, and short-term and leisure services for children with support decisions according to LSS.
In Norberg Municipality, the transition to the new Social Services Act has resulted in an increased focus on offering support through services without needs assessment at an early stage. We work proactively, creatively, and with great heart, including through the introduction of a school social team and SSPF. Do you want to be part of this?
Duties
As a youth support worker, you work closely with children and young people in Norberg. You are an authority representative and serve as an accessible caseworker for at-risk children and young people. You also have a preventive role where part of your position is devoted to outreach activities such as fieldwork and collaborating with others to map needs and coordinate services for children at the group level.
Qualifications
You are educated as a social worker (or hold an academic degree that the employer considers equivalent). You have experience with authority work in children and youth services, or are a recent graduate with strong motivation.
You are confident, responsible, and willing to think outside the box. You enjoy collaboration, creating structure, and finding solutions where others see obstacles.
You have a driver's license. Norberg is beautiful, but it is not always within walking distance.
Does this sound like you? Apply today! Selection will be ongoing during the announcement period and the position may be filled before the application deadline. We look forward to reading your application!
