Simrishamn Municipality is seeking nursing assistants for both residential care facilities and home care services. Here you will use your full professional expertise in varied work with significant responsibility and close contact with the individuals you support. In residential care facilities, you work closely with residents and learn their needs, habits, and preferences. In home care services, you meet individuals in their own homes and need to plan and adapt your work to different circumstances. Regardless of the setting, the goal is the same: for individuals to feel secure, have influence over their daily lives, and receive support to use their own abilities. You work alongside committed colleagues and collaborate closely with nurses, physical therapists, occupational therapists, and care coordinators. Our services have short communication channels, and your knowledge and observations are important in the shared work. We operate on a trust-based approach, which means you receive responsibility and discretion to use your expertise and professional judgment – with the individual's best interests, organizational goals, and shared working methods as the foundation. 6 position(s). WORK DUTIES Your work is based on the individual's needs, resources, and preferences. You are responsible for ensuring that services are delivered with good quality and that individuals are treated with respect and attentiveness. You serve as the primary care contact and have an important role in creating continuity and security. This includes monitoring the individual's needs and preferences, ensuring that the care plan is current, and coordinating contact with family members, colleagues, and other professionals as needed. Your tasks include: • provide personal care and support in daily life • assist with meals, hygiene, and mobility • work in a rehabilitative manner and utilize the individual's own abilities • develop, follow up on, and work according to care plans • document and plan work in LifeCare • perform health and medical care tasks as delegated • observe and report changes in health status or needs • collaborate with colleagues, licensed personnel, and other professionals • maintain contact with family members when needed. The work varies from day to day. You need to be able to prioritize, make decisions within the scope of your assignment, and maintain a professional manner even when the pace is high. QUALIFICATIONS We are looking for someone who: • is a trained nursing assistant with evidence of a protected professional title • has good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written • can document clearly and correctly • is comfortable using computers and mobile phones in your work • can receive and work according to the delegations required in the position • holds a B driving license for certain positions It is an advantage if you have: • experience from home care or residential care facilities • experience working with individuals with dementia, cognitive impairment, or mental health conditions • specialist training in, for example, dementia or psychiatry • knowledge of BPSD • experience with LifeCare or similar management systems • To thrive in this role, you need to enjoy taking responsibility and be comfortable working both independently and • together with others. You are attentive to changes, share important information with your colleagues, and follow • established decisions and procedures.
