Welcome to us! Your Work Tasks Welcome to Ryds Assisted Living and Home Care. We are now looking for committed staff members who want to make a difference in the everyday lives of our users! As a nursing assistant with us, you start the day by picking up your phone to get an overview of today's schedule. After that, you visit the users – by bike or on foot – and provide support and care based on their individual needs and wishes in accordance with IBIC (Individual Needs at the Center). The work tasks vary and may include personal care, help with meals, social interaction, cleaning, cooking, shopping and laundry. You also perform health and medical care tasks following delegation from a nurse. The work is independent but you always have close support from your colleagues. You collaborate with home healthcare, rehabilitation staff, management and administration. The role includes being a contact person for a number of users, preparing and documenting implementation plans, and maintaining contact with relatives and other care providers. All documentation is done in the digital journal system Treserva. The positions are at 100% and working hours are scheduled for day, evening, and every other weekend. Your Workplace Ryds Assisted Living and Home Care is operated by the Care and Services Department and is located in the Ryd area. The assisted living facility is located at Mårdtorpsgatan 35 near Ryd Center and consists of 32 assisted living apartments where residents receive support from home care services. The facility has a pleasant dining room where our seniors can meet and have a pleasant time over lunch and coffee breaks or participate in activities organized by our meeting point. In addition to services at the assisted living facility, we also provide support to around 200 people who continue to live at home in the nearby area. For home visits we use a bike or walk from our pleasant premises at the assisted living facility. With us, you become part of a positive and united team of about 30 employees. We work closely with nurses and rehabilitation teams to meet each individual's needs in the best way. We value community and a good work environment. Therefore, we gather regularly after morning visits to check on users' situations and exchange experiences. Every fourth week we hold workplace meetings (APT) where we discuss development issues and work for continuous improvement. About You We are looking for you who are trained as a nursing assistant and who have previous experience working in care, support and services. You also need to be familiar with delegated health and medical care tasks. If you have previously worked in home care and are familiar with working from a salutogenic approach, low-affect interaction, and IBIC (Individual Needs at the Center), that is a plus. If you have language skills in Arabic, Persian, Syriac, Assyrian, Bosnian and Kurdish, that is meritorious. You need to feel comfortable with digital tools, be able to document and record your work, and be able to ride a bike – as it is part of everyday life with us. Work in elderly care involves many meetings with people and quite a lot of documentation, so you need to have good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written. As a person, you are self-directed and take responsibility, but you also enjoy collaborating and communicating clearly. You have a great deal of empathy and can adapt when situations change.
