As nursing care personnel, you work closely with elderly residents and assist them according to their individual needs. Your tasks include providing personal care and contributing to making the elderly residents' lives safe, meaningful, and stimulating, as well as maintaining contact with relatives and documenting in our systems. We work in multidisciplinary teams consisting of nursing care personnel, nurses, rehabilitation staff, and unit managers. The team also includes a quality leader as well as meal and activity coordinators who actively work to develop and improve the quality of our special housing facilities. Your profile We are seeking trained nursing assistants and healthcare assistants. The work requires computer skills for documentation in IT systems. Good Swedish language skills, both spoken and written, are required. You must be able to obtain and maintain delegation to perform healthcare tasks. Previous experience in care and nursing work is an advantage. Knowledge and experience working with dementia care focus is an advantage. You have personal maturity and can remain steady in challenging situations. You have empathetic ability and can put yourself in the elderly resident's life situation. In your role, you meet both elderly residents, their relatives, and colleagues from different professions – therefore, collaboration skills, communication, and respect are important qualities. Workdays can sometimes turn out differently than planned, but in these situations, you remain calm, balance different demands, and reprioritize your tasks. You are open, respectful, and always keep the elderly resident's best interests in focus. Since work as nursing care personnel is physically demanding, it is important that you have good mobility and basic physical fitness. About the workplace In a beautiful setting in the village of Tibble, two kilometers outside central Leksand, is the municipality's special housing facility Lyckavägen. Lyckavägen opened in December 2021 and consists of four wings with modern standards as well as several areas for social gathering, both indoors and outdoors. In total, there are eight small units, with nine residents per unit. At Lyckavägen, there are two units with a dementia care focus. At the housing facility, nursing care personnel work around the clock to support the elderly. The work is based on the individual's physical, mental, and social needs using a person-centered approach.
