About Us Welcome to a workplace where you will work in an exciting environment alongside several professional categories. On Ward 52, we care for patients with breast cancer, thyroid cancer, anal cancer, gastrointestinal tumors, and cancers of unknown primary origin. The treatments provided during patient stays consist mainly of radiation therapy, chemotherapy, and radionuclide therapy, both for curative and palliative purposes. We also care for patients experiencing symptoms resulting from the cancer or treatment, and some patients are admitted for end-of-life care. Patients may experience a variety of difficulties during their illness, both from the disease and its treatment, and patients often have complex care needs. Great emphasis is placed on providing excellent care to both patients and their loved ones. We work in a multidisciplinary manner and have close collaboration with various professional categories such as nurses, physicians, administrative staff, dieticians, physical therapists, occupational therapists, psychologists, and hospital chaplains. We are looking for someone who is confident in your professional role, passionate about patient care, comfortable working both independently and as part of a team, flexible, and able to make your own decisions. Together, we create the conditions for the best possible care and treatment of our patients. About the Position As an employee with us, you will complete a chemotherapy course, and upon completion, you will receive a chemotherapy certificate. We also provide internal training in radiation protection for work with radionuclide therapy. Nursing assistants and nurses work together with shared responsibility for a group of patients during each shift. Nursing assistants with us have significant care responsibilities and there is room for development within specific tasks. About You We are looking for you as a nursing assistant with a focus on acute care in your education. It is an advantage if you have education and/or several years of experience in oncology care. Great emphasis will be placed on personal qualities such as the ability to work independently, flexibility, and interest in working with people in vulnerable life situations.
