Department 83 is a psychiatric inpatient unit with general psychiatry focus. Our subspecialty is patients with affective disorders. The age and diagnoses of our patients vary, and often patients are in an acute phase of their illness when they arrive. We have 17 care beds and care for patients under the Health and Medical Services Act (HSL) and the Act on Psychiatric Compulsory Care (LPT). Our department has doctors, nurses, nursing assistants/caregivers, social workers, peer support (patient supporters), unit manager, and team leaders. We work using a cognitive approach and psychiatric care consists of a combination of medical, psychological, and social interventions. Our treatment is characterized by well-proven scientific methods. 1 position(s). WORK TASKS In your role as a nursing assistant, you work closely with patients on various care tasks such as patient care work, documentation, some administration, and support and motivational conversations. You work closely with supervising nurses, nursing assistants, doctors, mentors, and social workers. Medical record documentation is done in the Melior data system. We offer you basic training in psychiatry and once a month there is an opportunity for care supervision. Additionally, depending on the department's needs, there is an opportunity for additional responsibility areas. We work on a schedule where working hours are assigned to day, evening, and every other weekend. QUALIFICATIONS We are looking for someone who is a trained nursing assistant and meets the National Board of Health and Welfare's requirements for a protected professional title regardless of whether you studied under previous or current program structures. Since the work largely involves communication and documentation, good Swedish language skills, in both spoken and written form, are required. Applicants who currently hold a permanent employment contract with the professional title caregiver can apply and may, if hired, retain the professional title (however, only until 2033 when the caregiver title ceases in our operations). We would like you to have experience working as a caregiver and/or nursing assistant. It is an advantage if you have experience working in psychiatry or working with patients with mental health issues. Additionally, good computer skills and basic knowledge of our Melior medical record system are beneficial. You have a genuine interest in psychiatric care and always keep the patient in focus. Furthermore, you have good prioritization skills and contribute to a good work environment. For this role, it is important to remain calm and have a low-key approach in stressful situations, so we are looking for someone who is confident and stable as a person. With high service and sense of responsibility and good collaboration skills, you meet with respect the situation the patient and relatives are facing.
