About You We are looking for you who are a trained nursing assistant and have completed a 200-credit acute care course. You may also have completed Health and Care 1 and 2 according to the new curriculum or have other education and experience that the employer considers equivalent. You have good knowledge of Swedish and express yourself well in both speech and writing. To thrive in this role, you are comfortable working in a person-centered manner and always keep the patient's needs in focus. You have experience working in inpatient care and feel comfortable handling acute situations where the pace can sometimes be high. It is a merit if you have further education or have begun training as a specialist nursing assistant in anesthesia, surgery, or intensive care. We also view positively experience in quality, development, and improvement work as well as experience working in a person-centered approach. If you have previously worked in intensive care, acute care, or other highly specialized care environments, that is an advantage. Experience working in teams in a 24/7 operation is also valued, as the work requires good collaboration skills, flexibility, and shared responsibility for patient care and safety. You collaborate well with colleagues, contribute to a good work environment, and have the ability to make well-founded decisions in stressful situations. What You Will Work With As a nursing assistant in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) at Sunderby Hospital, you are an important part of the team around the critically ill patient. You work closely with intensive care nurses and physicians caring for post-operative patients, trauma patients, and patients with failing vital functions. Your work tasks include participating in the care of ICU patients, monitoring the patient's condition, performing checks and observations, and assisting with examinations and treatments. You are responsible for care-related tasks, contribute to a safe and secure care environment, and participate in maintaining good hygiene and patient safety. The role also includes working in a person-centered manner with focus on the patient's and next of kin's needs, participating in teamwork around the patient, and contributing to business development through active engagement in improvement and quality work. The work is varied, educational, and requires both responsibility and good collaboration skills.
