Your Assignment As a nursing assistant at Höjden, Åsgården, you will provide individually tailored care, support, and services to our users based on a rehabilitative and person-centered approach. Your work aims to create security, participation, and a meaningful daily life for each individual. Your role includes personal care such as help with hygiene and dressing/undressing, as well as service tasks such as cleaning, laundry, and support with meals. You will plan and implement social and physical activities, and perform delegated health and medical care tasks, for example medication management. Documentation and work based on implementation plans are a natural part of daily work. You will work closely with your colleagues and collaborate with nurses, physiotherapists, occupational therapists, and the unit manager to ensure good and safe care. The work requires both good collaboration skills and the ability to work independently. When needed, you are expected to be able to take responsibility for leading and distributing daily work within the team. The position involves scheduled working hours with shifts during day, evening, and weekends. Work at other units may occur based on operational needs. Description of the Workplace Åsgården is a care and residential facility with a total of 57 places distributed across three units for people with dementia. The operation also includes a short-term residence with 12 places. The different units work closely together, which creates good conditions for both safe and quality care as well as a positive and supportive work environment. We have staff around the clock. A nurse is on site during weekday daytime, and at other times, the municipality's nurses are available. Our work is based on Individual Needs at the Center (IBIC), where participation, self-determination, and individual needs form the foundation for the services we offer. Person-centered approaches are our focus. Through security, recognition, and meaningful activities, we create a daily life that promotes quality of life for our residents. You will become part of a committed team where nursing assistants, nurses, rehabilitation staff, coordinators, and managers work together with a common goal – to provide each individual with the best possible support, care, and well-being. Your Competence We are looking for you who are a trained nursing assistant with a vocational secondary education diploma or equivalent. You have good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written, and basic computer skills since documentation and communication are important parts of the work. It is advantageous if you have experience working in elderly care, especially within dementia care. Experience with delegated health and medical care tasks and work with BPSD (Behavioral and Psychological Symptoms of Dementia) is also seen as an advantage. To thrive and succeed in this role, you need to be able to work both independently and together with others. You are flexible and have the ability to adapt your working method based on the needs of the operation and the residents.
