About the Position

Within the Obstetrics and Postpartum/Gynecology Care Unit 12 in Sundsvall, approximately 80 employees work together, handling about 1400 deliveries per year. Our team includes physicians, midwives, nurses, and nursing assistants. We collaborate closely with the hospital's neonatal unit located in nearby facilities. At our workplace, we work with continuous improvements to create a good work environment, efficient processes, and to meet patient needs. We are now seeking a nursing assistant for a temporary position through fall 2026, based in Sundsvall.
As a nursing assistant with us, you contribute to caring for others and helping people feel better. The nursing assistant is an important and integral role in the team, and your work contributes to safe, quality patient care. To grow in your profession and provide the best care, we believe it is important to enjoy your work and have the opportunity for continuous development. The temporary position involves three-shift work including two weekends out of five. We offer individual scheduling with a flexible working time model. We will plan your orientation based on your previous experience.
This is a temporary 12-month position with a working degree up to full-time, though the scope can be determined in discussion with your manager. Start date is as soon as possible or by agreement.
Duties
Your duties will vary and include:
Assisting with childbirth
Providing care for new parents and newborns
Caring for gynecological and gynecological-oncology patients
Performing standard nursing assistant tasks on the care unit such as basic patient care, monitoring vital signs, wound care, and specimen collection
Qualifications
We are looking for someone who
Has completed nursing assistant training
Has good knowledge of Swedish in speech and writing, and good spoken English skills
It is an advantage if you
Have experience in acute care and/or obstetrics, postpartum/gynecological care
