Through day center activities, you gain access to programs that give you the opportunity to remain independent and continue living at home. In Umeå, there are day centers with different focuses depending on your needs. Day center activities can also provide respite care for family members.
Day Center Freja, located on Umedalen, is now seeking a nursing assistant for our team!
Your Work Tasks
As a nursing assistant at the day center, you work to create a safe, active, and meaningful everyday life for elderly people. Together with the participant, you develop an implementation plan based on their individual needs, wishes, and circumstances. You plan and carry out activities such as light exercise, outdoor time, newspaper reading, creative activities, household tasks, and social interaction. The role also involves providing individually adapted support and care, as well as contributing to an inclusive environment that promotes participation, independence, and well-being.
Work hours are daytime, Monday through Friday.
About You
We are looking for someone who meets people with empathy, attentiveness, and genuine commitment. You have a patient approach and respectful conduct in all situations, even when the pace is high or circumstances change rapidly. The role also includes contact with various authorities, which means you work in a structured and thorough manner and feel comfortable with documentation and follow-up. We place great importance on personal suitability.
Requirements
Educated nursing assistant
Experience working with dementia
Good Swedish language skills in speech and writing, so you can communicate with participants, family members, and colleagues, write and review care documentation, and receive medication delegation
